I'm Mike Story, an EPOS and IT field engineer with 30 years in the industry, trading as Story Technical Services Ltd from Carlisle.
Most of my work comes from EPOS providers, IT service companies and installers who need a reliable engineer on the ground: installations, break/fix, surveys and go-lives, working to their SLAs. I also help local businesses directly, from hotels and pubs to shops, with anything from a dead kitchen printer to a struggling network.
After three decades I've seen most flavours of "it was working yesterday". The approach is simple: turn up, diagnose it properly, fix it, and keep the site trading.

I also travel further afield across the UK, and abroad when the job is right.
